Access By Category Plugin

The “Access By Category” plugin enables a WordPress administrator to control access to blog categories according to user roles. Configuration allows different roles to be assigned:

Ability to see posts of selected categories
Ability to post into selected categories
Default posting category or categories

I made the following revisions to Owen Winkler’s original Limit Categories plugin for WordPress, which allows the administrator to limit which categories will appear in the post editor, according to the role of the user:

Fixed the plugin to allow persistence of checked categories when editing an already-posted post.
Updated the plugin . . .
